You will discover the imperial wonders of Beijing,the Terracotta Warriors in Xian and the ambitious skyline of Shanghai
This tour is mixed with the ancient and the modern china’s famous cities.
Start in Beijing, the capital city now, visit the Forbidden city and the iconic Bird’s Nest Olympic stadium, followed by Xian, the oldest ancient capital city. Then travel to another ancient capital-Hangzhou. It is the most beautiful city in China based in the south of the Yangtze River. Finishing in Shanghai, the commercial capital of China.
DAY 1: Fly from London to Beijing, overnight on flight.
DAY 2: Arrival Beijing, transfer to your hotel for 3 nights stay. After check in, relax and in the afternoon visit the old quarter of Beijing, enjoy a rickshaw ride along the alley way in Beijing’s Hutong area, visit the bustling markets, have time to enjoy the atmosphere before dinner.
DAY 3: In the morning visit the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. In the afternoon visit the Temple of Heaven, and in the evening have a chance to enjoy the Peking Opera or KongFu show.
DAY 4: Drive away from the city towards the mountain area of Beijing, to visit the magnificent Great Wall. Take a walk along the Mutianyu section, have a chance to try the cable car. On the way back, visit the iconic Olympic Stadium Bird’s Nest. Evening meal Beijing Roast Duck Dinner
DAY 5: In the morning visit the Summer Palace, the imperial garden, then continue to visit the Beijing’s up and coming 798 Art Zone before we fly to Xian. On arrival a brief orientation tour of the city, take a walk in Xian’s vibrant Muslim quarter and transfer to hotel for two nights stay.
DAY 6: After a leisurely breakfast, visit the City Wall of Xian, have chance to ride the bicycle on the wall, this is the best way to see the city. After lunch visit the incredible Terracotta Army. In the evening enjoy a dumpling dinner and the Tang Dynasty Show.
DAY 7: In the morning visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda, the Shaanxi History Museum before flying to beautiful Hangzhou. One of the China’s former ancient capital. On arrival explore the local markets then transfer to hotel for 2 nights stay.
DAY 8: In the morning visit a most well known Buddhist temple in China, Linyin temple and continue our journey to Mei family’s Tea Plantation, which is famous after Mao invited Nixon visited here in 1972. Enjoy a cup of Longjing green tea before a relaxing cruise on the tranquil West Lake. After dinner, have a chance to enjoy the Impress West Lake show.
DAY 9: Morning enjoy a stroll along the West Lake. Late morning travel to the ancient canal town of Xitang, have lunch and time discover and absorb the atmosphere of Chinese ancient watertown. Canals, arch stone bridges, narrow cobblestone alley and wooden waterside houses. Later travel to Shanghai and check in to hotel for 3 nights stay.
DAY10: Full day to explore this amazing fastest growing city in China. First we start from the old town and the Yu Garden, then visit the waterfront, the Bund, have chance to enjoy the cruise along the Huangpu River. Contrast the modern and old. In the afternoon visit the Shanghai Museum and Xintiandi.
DAY 11: Free day to explore Shanghai. Or join our optional day trip to Suzhou by train, famous for its canals and classical gardens. After back to Shanghai, Enjoy our farewell dinner in one of the famous restaurant in Shanghai.
DAY 12: Take the fastest magnetic train in the world, the Maglev, to the airport for return flight to UK.
