IMPORTANT NOTES FOR TRAVEL TO MYANMAR: 1.Please note that credit cards and traveller cheques are NOT accepted in Myanmar and that visitors must bring sufficient cash (best in U.S.Dollars,but Euro also increasingly accepted) to change and make payments. Please bring new US Dollar notes (big heads)and with serial numbers NOT starting with CB as these are not accepted in Myanmar due to rumours these are counterfeit. All currency has to be exchanged into local Kyat (pronounced "Chat). 2. All travellers to Myanmar are required to have travel insurance covering the cost of medical evacuation flights. 3. Visas are required by all visitors to Myanmar.A visa MUST be obtained before arrival and passport must be valid 6 months after arrival date.More detailed information regarding visa application can be provided on request. All visas are arranged through us in the form of a group tourist visa.
